Meet Miranda

Miranda Nelson focuses her practice on commercial real estate matters.

Prior to joining Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, Miranda gained valuable experience in litigation at a local firm, honing her skills in managing complex legal matters. She also served as a Judicial Clerk to the Hon. Joseph F. Anderson, Jr. at the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina and the Hon. David R. Duncan at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the same district. This background brings a well-rounded perspective to her commercial real estate practice, allowing her to effectively navigate legal intricacies and provide clients with comprehensive, strategic guidance.

Before becoming an attorney, Miranda worked as a licensed customs broker, where she guided clients through complex import/export matters, including free trade agreement eligibility, tariff classification and export controls.

During law school, she served as Senior Articles Editor for the South Carolina Law Review, a peer mentor and an academic tutor in legal writing for first-year students.
