When evaluating a law firm as a place where you might want to work, it is important to understand the firm’s culture and environment. Our recruiting process is focused on identifying and attracting the most qualified candidates. Although the majority of our attorney recruiting is through our Summer Associate Program, we consider all qualified candidates, including those who have not previously participated in our program.
HSB enjoys a legacy of success and dedication to legal excellence, which is grounded in our longstanding commitment to our values of integrity and client service. We seek individuals who share these values and are driven to contribute to our team by providing client-focused legal work in a collegial atmosphere. We are looking for candidates who are self-starters but also thrive on mentorship and feedback from experienced attorneys and employees.
Our people make our firm special. HSB is a relaxed, “first-name basis” workplace and our employees enjoy a collaborative setting with support from their peers. Staff and associate attorneys know they are valued because they are part of a team important to the firm’s success. While we work hard on behalf of our clients, the firm encourages all employees to focus on creating and maintaining a strong work-life balance.
At Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, we recognize that the success of our firm depends upon our attorneys’ success as professionals and as individuals. While we recruit accomplished and well-rounded attorneys, that is just the beginning. Through effective training and mentoring programs, our goal is to help develop outstanding lawyers who will achieve their career goals, contribute to the success of the firm and seek meaningful involvement in the community.
Our training programs include both internal and external programs -- from initial orientation to subjects ranging from practice management to business development, as well as continuing legal education seminars. All attorneys benefit from formal ongoing training programs combined with active mentoring by the senior attorneys and shareholders of the firm.
