Lindsey Powell is an attorney in Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd’s Raleigh office, where she focuses her practice on construction litigation and collections. She represents owners, contractors and small to mid-sized subcontractors throughout all stages of state and federal court litigation involving complex disputes related to construction defects, contract breaches, mechanics’ liens and payment bond claims.
Her collections practice encompasses representing creditors in bankruptcy proceedings, pursuing judgments and recovering outstanding debts for construction companies and corporate clients.
In addition to her litigation work, Lindsey represents clients in mediations and arbitrations, before professional licensing boards and in matters involving government zoning authorities and planning boards. Lindsey also advises clients on corporate compliance, contract review and business operations. She takes a practical approach to helping businesses address legal challenges before they escalate into costly disputes.
Prior to joining Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, Lindsey practiced with a Raleigh-based firm after returning from Georgia, where she concentrated her legal practice on real property litigation and zoning and land use law. She now serves clients in both North Carolina and Georgia, bringing a comprehensive understanding of the legal landscape in both jurisdictions.
