Ashley Umbriano is an associate in Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd’s Greenville office, where she focuses her practice primarily on matters of commercial litigation and insurance defense.
While in law school at the University of South Carolina, Ashley served as the Associate Editor in Chief of the South Carolina Journal of Law and Education. Ashley also participated in the Carolina Health Advocacy Medicolegal Partnership (CHAMPS) Clinic, which gave her the opportunity to collaborate with the School of Medicine and Prisma Health on legal matters impacting children’s health. Ashley gained valuable experience in the areas of criminal defense and personal injury during a two-year clerkship with a local law firm, where she participated in the longest criminal trial in South Carolina history.
As an undergraduate at the University of South Carolina, Ashley competed on the women’s cross country team and track and field team. She also completed her Master’s in Public Health, with a concentration in health policy, at the University of South Carolina. Following graduation, Ashley completed a yearlong practice management fellowship with a regional health system before entering law school.
Prior to joining our firm, Ashley was a litigation associate with a statewide law firm.
