H. Sam Mabry III received the American Board of Trial Advocates South Carolina Chapter (ABOTASC)
Joel W. Collins, Jr. Chapter Service Award at the Chapter’s February 20
th meeting. He was also recognized as the outgoing ABOTASC acting chapter president at the same gathering.
The Joel W. Collins, Jr. Chapter Service Award recognizes those who have gone above and beyond to advance ABOTA's mission, the work of the South Carolina chapter and the legal community as a whole. The award is named after its first recipient, who is a past ABOTA national and chapter president.
Sam also received the American Board of Trial Advocates’ South Carolina Chapter Jeter E. Rhodes Jr. Trial Lawyer of the Year award in 2016.
Sam is widely respected for his skilled management of complex litigation work. Known throughout the Southeast for his defense work in class actions, commercial and financial services litigation and product liability actions, he has been instrumental in a number of high-profile cases during his career. Based in the firm’s Greenville office, Sam is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the Litigation Counsel of America, and is a member of South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys’ Association, the Upstate South Carolina American Inn of Court and the American Board of Trial Advocates.
