Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, P.A. is pleased to announce that Joseph D. Dickey, Jr. has joined the firm as a shareholder in Columbia, SC.
Joseph focuses his practice on representing businesses, governmental entities, individuals and nonprofit organizations with labor and employment matters and litigation. He also advises clients on corporate matters, including contract review and negotiation, governance and corporate structuring. Joseph is recognized by The Best Lawyers in America© for Education Law and Employment Law - Individuals (2021-2024) and South Carolina Super Lawyers® Employment & Labor and Schools & Education (2020-2024).
An advocate for the community, Joseph is serving in his second term as District Four Councilman of the City of West Columbia, where he was first elected in 2019. He is an active board member of the Japan America Association of South Carolina and the Congaree Park Homeowners’ Association.
Joseph received his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law and is now an adjunct professor for the school’s Civil Litigation Capstone. He received a Bachelor of Science in Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Japanese and International Trade from Clemson University.
