Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd Attorneys Present on LLCs

Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd’s Scott Barnes, Suzi Clawson and Mac McQuillin recently presented at the South Carolina Bar Association’s virtual CLE on South Carolina Limited Liabililty Corporations.

During the full-day webinar, Scott presented on the S.C. Uniform Limited Liability Company Act, choice of entity and capital accounts. Suzi spoke about securities law and Mac provided a case law update.

The webinar also featured updates on the newly published South Carolina Limited Liability Companies, Fifth Edition, co-authored by Scott and Suzi.

Scott Barnes is a Certified Tax Specialist. His practice currently focuses on limited liability companies and partnerships, conservation easements and the tax implications of these situations.

Suzi Clawson represents both public and private issuers with respect to securities registration and reporting compliance issues, while also advising public and private company clients on both sides of merger and acquisition transactions.

Mac McQuillin advises individuals, local businesses and government entities in complex matters, and has extensive experience with both jury and non-jury trials. He helps clients with matters such as litigating LLC and partnership disputes, handling probate, estate and trust cases and providing general counsel and litigation services to local governments.
