Nick Nicholson, Managing Director of Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, has been recognized as a 2019 Gold Compleat Lawyer by the University of South Carolina School of Law Alumni Council and will be honored at an awards ceremony in Columbia on Thursday, April 4.
Established in 1992, the Compleat Lawyer Award recognizes USC School of Law alumni for making significant contributions to the legal profession and exemplifying the highest standard of professional competence, ethics and integrity. Awards are given in three categories based on years in practice: Platinum (31 years or more), Gold (16 – 30 years) and Silver (15 or fewer years).
Nick has served as Managing Director since 2013 and practices in the areas of procurement and government contracts, local government law and construction law. His clients include municipal and county governments, state agencies, higher education institutions, nonprofit organizations, business owners and contractors. Nick received the South Carolina Lawyers Weekly Leadership in Law Award in 2016 and has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America© for Litigation – Construction since 2013. He serves on the board of the Meyer Center for Special Children and is a graduate of Leadership South Carolina.
