Jennie Steiner focuses her practice on utility, construction and general business litigation, representing clients in both federal and state courts.
Her utility practice centers on the representation of regulated utilities and their contractors in condemnation, encroachment, property damage, reservoir and tort liability matters, including the defense of personal injury and wrongful death claims. Jennie has significant experience defending cases involving electric transmission and distribution systems, including matters arising from burns and serious electrical injuries. Her work frequently involves the application of industry standards such as the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), the National Electrical Code (NEC) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) standards.
In addition, Jennie represents clients in construction-related disputes involving contracts, payment issues and construction defects. Her business and commercial litigation experience includes contract disputes, unfair trade practices, trade secret claims, negligent misrepresentation and tortious interference matters. She also has experience managing large-scale electronic discovery, including matters involving hundreds of thousands of documents.
