David advises clients across a wide range of commercial real estate and financing transactions. He represents financial institutions and lenders in the areas of real estate, construction and asset-based lending.
David is well-versed in handling real estate purchases and sales, as well as representing developers and owners through the construction and development of multifamily residences, retail outlets, industrial sites, and mixed-use facilities. He is experienced in commercial leasing, providing counsel to both tenants and landlords across a range of projects, encompassing office, retail, and industrial leases.
Prior to joining Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, David was an attorney with an AmLaw 100 firm based in Texas. He previously assisted in the representation of:
• A client in acquisition and financing of more than 40 multifamily properties in Texas, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, North Carolina and South Carolina
• One of the largest insurance companies in the United States in the negotiation of office and retail leases
• Institutional lenders in commercial loans secured by senior health care facilities, multifamily projects, retail shopping centers and condominium projects
• Sellers of medical office building sites, multifamily projects and industrial portfolios
• A national health care company in connection with the sale of medical office buildings and excess assets
• A government transportation agency in a variety of compliance matters
