February 10, 2017
Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd recently welcomed Aaron M. Scheuer to the firm’s corporate tax practice as an associate in the Columbia office. A graduate of Georgetown University Law Center’s LL.M. in taxation program, Aaron began his legal career at the S.C. Department of Revenue. While there, he worked in the policy section providing guidance to taxpayers and department personnel regarding state and federal tax issues, and administrative practices. He also worked in the litigation section representing the department before the Administrative Law Court in a variety of state tax and beverage licensing matters.
“Aaron adds a new layer of experience to our tax services at the firm,” remarks Frank Cureton, shareholder and tax practice group leader. “Our clients see the value in our services, and Aaron will only help us continue to exceed client expectations by expanding the skill set and resources available to them.”
Aaron offers clients a unique perspective and approach to state tax and regulatory matters. Coupled with his litigation background, his understanding of complex tax issues and department procedures enables him to be a valuable resource for businesses and government entities. Aaron will work with the firm’s tax law group and the economic development group.
