Meet Bonnie

Bonnie Lynch’s practice focuses on business, construction, utility and personal injury litigation at Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd. She represents a multitude of different clients ranging from individuals to international companies. She also advises and counsels on brewery and distillery law.

Bonnie litigates a range of diverse cases. Her clients include general contractors, subcontractors and business owners involving matters such as contract disputes, construction litigation, performance and payment bond, business law and business torts.

Her construction practice involves all phases of the construction process, including in-project advice and counsel and representation of owners, contractors, design professionals and subcontractors in contract payment, mechanics liens and construction defect disputes.

Bonnie represents a number of regulated utilities and their contractors on a variety of matters such as commercial contract, construction payment, construction defect, property damage and tort liability cases, including defense of claims for personal injury and wrongful death. In her work for regulated utilities, she has particular experience in the nuclear power industry. Bonnie has coordinated and executed root cause evaluations and litigated claims arising from nuclear power facilities and equipment.

She brings her corporate litigation practice to the brewing and distilling industry. Her practice includes reviewing contracts, assisting with licensing and approvals and helping businesses with employment agreements, including non-compete clauses.

EXPERIENCE

  • •  Representation of an international company regarding leasing issues and allegations of fraud and negligent representation
  • •  Representation of an owner in construction defect and payment cases involving nuclear power facilities and equipment
  • •  Representation of a regulated electric utility in its assertion of a claim against a contractor at a nuclear electric generation facility
  • •  Defense of regulated utility and contractor clients in multiple wrongful death and serious personal injury cases involving both electric transmission and distribution lines, including those involving burns and serious electrical injuries, often with application of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), the National Electrical Code (NEC), and/or Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) standards
  • •  Federal court jury trial of a business dispute involving allegations of tortious interference and unfair trade practices
