Steve Matthews Elected to Serve on the Atlantic Legal Foundation’s Board of Directors

Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd is pleased to announce that shareholder Steve A. Matthews has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the Atlantic Legal Foundation (ALF). Established in 1977, the Foundation is the nation’s preeminent nonprofit, nonpartisan, public interest law firm advocating for the use of sound science in judicial and regulatory proceedings, primarily as amicus curiae in the Supreme Court of the United States and federal and state appellate courts. It is also active in issues affecting the business community and educational choice.

Steve was elected to the Foundation’s Advisory Council in 2016. The Board of Directors and Advisory Council are composed of corporate executives, partners of major law firms, corporate general counsel, and respected scientists. The Board governs the Foundation and decides in which cases it will participate.

Steve’s practice at Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd focuses on achieving resolutions – whether by negotiation or litigation – of the more complex issues arising in a wide range of legal fields that involve mission critical aspects of his clients’ businesses.
