Experienced Litigation Team Joins Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd

Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd is pleased to announce the addition of Clay Walker, Rob Reibold and Reynolds Blankenship to our litigation practice. The experienced team of litigators joins HSB from the firm Walker & Reibold.

Harry Clayton PortraitClay Walker has represented clients in product liability, employment, real estate and personal injury litigation matters for the past 35 years and joins HSB as a shareholder in our Columbia office. For the past 20 years, Clay has worked with automobile dealers to help resolve business practice disputes, consumer complaints and personal injury claims, in addition to providing advice and counsel on all phases of their businesses.

He received his J.D. from Vanderbilt University and is a graduate of Duke University, magna cum laude. Clay has served on the Uniform Law Commission since 2012 and is Vice Chair of the Highly Automated Vehicle Act committee and a member of the Event Data Recorders in Cars study committee.

Rob Reibold joins HSB as a shareholder in our Columbia office. Rob represents automobile dealers, businesses, individuals and insurance companies in a number of litigation and consulting matters. He handles business contracts, product liability, unfair trade practices, employment discrimination and insurance matters. He has argued appeals before the S.C. Court of Appeals, S.C. Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Rob is a graduate of Penn State University and received his J.D. from the University of South Carolina. He is a member of the SC Defense Trial Attorneys’ Association and SC Bar Practice and Procedure committee, served in the SC Bar House of Delegates (2008-2014) and is a graduate of Leadership Columbia.

Reynolds Blankenship portraitReynolds Blankenship joins HSB as Special Counsel in the Charleston office and focuses his litigation practice on business, construction, real estate, insurance and personal injury matters. He has tried dozens of jury and non-jury trials throughout South Carolina and has represented clients in appellate proceedings. Prior to entering private practice, he served as law clerk to (later Chief) Justice Costa M. Pleicones of the South Carolina Supreme Court.

Reynolds graduated first in his class at Loyola University New Orleans School of Law and received his B.A. from the University of South Carolina.
