FTC Finalizes Rule Banning Non-Compete Clauses

Yesterday, April 23, 2024, the Federal Trade Commission issued a much anticipated final rule banning non-compete agreements. The final rule, which is effective August 21, 2024, prohibits any person (including business entities) from entering into or attempting to enter into a “non-compete clause.”EEOC Finalizes Pregnancy Workers Fairness Act

The EEOC issued its Final Rule and Interpretive Guidance implementing the Pregnancy Workers Fairness Act (PWFA) on Monday, April 15, 2024. The Rule becomes effective sixty days after it is published in the Title 29 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Appendix A to part 1636.Love is Blind.

On November 28, 2023, the U.S. Department of State confirmed the launch of a pilot program for the domestic renewal of visas with a projected start date of January 2024. The pilot program would allow for 20,000 domestic H-1B visa renewals, meaning that foreign nationals who are living and working in the U.S. in H-1B status do not have to leave the U.S. to apply for or renew their visa.
