Will Johnson Appointed to Senior Leadership Position with the ABA Young Lawyers Division
William R. (Will) Johnson, a shareholder in Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd’s Columbia, SC office, has been appointed the Co-Director of Liaisons and Committees of the Young Lawyers Division (YLD) of the American Bar Association (ABA).
Will is chair of the firm’s statewide manufacturing industry team, and practices in the areas of tax and economic incentive matters.
As Co-Director of Liaisons and Committees, Will will oversee 35 different committees that are largely responsible for the substantive work and programming of the YLD. Additionally, he will serve as a member of the senior leadership team, the ABA YLD Cabinet, and as a voting member of both the ABA YLD Council and the ABA YLD Assembly. He previously served as co-chair of the YLD Tax Law Committee (2014-15).
Will is a former chair of the South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers Division (2013-14) and was named the South Carolina Bar Young Lawyer of the Year in 2010.
