Two Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd Associates Join Local Leadership Programs

Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd attorneys, L. Foster Girard and Kimberly Witherspoon were accepted into two local Leadership programs this year.

On July 23, the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce announced its 2014 Leadership Columbia Class, which includes Foster Girard. Foster, an Associate in the firm’s Columbia office and native of Simpsonville, SC, focuses his practice in the areas of corporate finance and commercial transactions. He is a 2006 graduate of The Citadel and a 2009 graduate from the University of South Carolina School of Law. While attending The Citadel, Foster was awarded the coveted Mark W. Clark Honor Committee Award.

On August 1, the Greenville Chamber of Commerce announced its 2014 Leadership Greenville Class, which included Kimberly Witherspoon. Kimberly, an Associate in the firm’s Greenville office, focuses her practice in public finance. A native of New Zion, SC, she graduated from Furman University in 2006 and Georgetown University Law Center in 2009. While at Georgetown, Kimberly was a Law Center Scholar, and member of the Federal Bar Association and William B. Bryant American Inn of Court.

The 10-month program provides existing and emerging leaders in the Midlands area with an opportunity to enhance their civic knowledge and network.
