John P. Boyd practices in the areas of environmental law, regulatory and administrative law, and general corporate law. John’s experience ranges from advising clients on environmental matters, such as permitting, enforcement, and due diligence, to corporate entity formation and commercial contracts.

He is a founding board member of the South Carolina Clean Energy Business Alliance, former chair of the South Carolina Biomass Council, member of the City of Columbia Climate Change Commission and a member of Leadership Columbia (Class of 2013). John received a J.D. from the University of South Carolina in 2004, a M.S. in Environmental Policy from the University of Michigan in 1999, and a B.S. in Natural Resources, with honors, from the University of the South, Sewanee, in 1995

William R. (Will) Johnson practices in the areas of tax and economic development law. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America® for Tax Law, named a “Rising Star” for Tax Law in Columbia by South Carolina Super Lawyers®, named as one of 10 “Emerging Legal Leaders” by South Carolina Lawyers Weekly, and was named “Young Lawyer of the Year” for 2010 by South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers Division.

A graduate of the Leadership Columbia (Class of 2008) and Leadership South Carolina (Class of 2011) programs, Will is the president-elect of the South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers Division, is a member of the South Carolina Bar Board of Governors, serves on the board of directors for Special Olympics South Carolina, is a member of the Tax Commission of the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA), and serves on the advisory board of directors for Honor Flight South Carolina.

Will earned an LL.M. from New York University in 2006, a J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of South Carolina in 2005, and a B.A., summa cum laude, from Wofford College in 2002.

Joshua D. (Josh) Spencer practices in the fields of construction, utility and business/commercial litigation in federal and state courts, as well as in arbitration and administrative hearings.

He was named one of the “Rising Stars” for the Greenville construction industry by South Carolina Super Lawyers® magazine in 2012. He is the secretary of the South Carolina Bar Construction Law Section and is a member of the American Bar Association’s Forum on the Construction Industry. A former member of the South Carolina Army National Guard, Josh also served a three-year term on the Board of Directors of Senior Action, and currently serves on the Board of Directors and as General Counsel of South Carolina Odyssey of the Mind.

Josh received his J.D. from the University of South Carolina in 2006, and his B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of South Carolina in 2003.
