Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd Adds New Associate in Charleston Office

Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, P.A. is pleased to announce the addition of Amy Foster Bower to the firm’s Charleston, SC office.

Amy joins the firm’s litigation practice focusing on personal injury defense as well as business, financial, real estate, and land use litigation.

Prior to joining the firm, Amy served as the Industry Affairs Assistant for the National Beer Wholesalers Association, monitoring the legislative and regulatory activities pertaining to the organization for the 50 States while also assisting the association’s nonprofit foundation.

The Charleston native earned her juris doctor, summa cum laude, from the Charleston School of Law, where she received CALI awards in Contracts, Civil Procedure, Criminal Law, Professional Responsibility, Criminal Procedure, Products Liability and Commercial Law. She was Managing Editor of the Charleston Law Review, the Associate Justice of the First Year Competition for the Charleston School of Law’s Moot Court Board and a member of MUSC’s Presidential Scholars Program.

While in law school, Amy also served as a Special Assistant to the Honorable Wayne M. Creech, Ninth Judicial Circuit Family Court Judge, while working on the Family Court Bench Book Project. She was also a Legal Research and Writing Teaching Fellow at the Charleston School of Law.

Amy graduated from the University of Colorado in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism.
Active in the community,she, alongside her family, received the Francis Salvador Award for community involvement, vision and leadership in 2011. She was also a member of Mayor Riley’s Campaign Leadership Committee and currently serves as an Advisory Board Member of College of Charleston’s Yaschik/Arnold Jewish Studies Program.
