Last month, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services published a new version of the I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification Form.
The Form I-9 is used by employers to verify the identity and employment authorization of all new hires. The new version of the Form I-9 is identified by a revision date of 07/17/17N and must be used no later than September 18, 2017.
The following minor changes contained in the now current version of the Form I-9 are intended to facilitate completion and reduce errors:
